13th November 2003 Windsurfing: Worthing Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 25knots Surf / Sea State: Mushy but fun Air Temperature: 12 Sea Temperature: Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: First diary entry - here goes. Arrived in Worthing at about 830. Checked a few sailing points and decided car park up from the sailing club was looking good. No one out on the water yet - rigged 4.5 and was out. HW was at about 130pm. As I stepped onto the beach about 10 other sailors appeared. Nice morning session and just getting back into it after a few survival days earlier in November. Still getting use to my board but pleased with it. I have also been practicing jumping whilst hooked in. The waves at Worthing are good for this bcs they are quite mellow on inside to practice on and steep on the outside to wipeout on. Tide was on its way in and I was getting tired - decided to stop at about 1130. Well pleased with the day and still on a high. Only problem was my air vent - see forum - suggestions gladly received. |
